Course Outline

This course is appropriate for individuals who will run reports in Access regularly and require a more thorough understanding of how to create and print reports.

Lesson 1: Using Layout View

  • Creating reports in Layout View
  • Changing fonts and text styles
  • Using conditional formatting
  • Formatting reports
  • Adding and arranging fields
  • Reporting from related tables
  • Adding grouping, subtotals, and grand totals

Lesson 2: Using Design View

  • Creating reports in Design View
  • Creating custom headers/footers
  • Creating calculations and unbound objects
  • Arranging, aligning, and sizing controls

Lesson 3: Adjusting Page Layout and Printing

  • Page setup and margins
  • Changing custom group properties
  • Printing reports
  • Exporting reports to Word
  • Creating Mailing Labels

Lesson 4: Using Queries for Effective Reports

  • Using queries as a record source
  • Filtering reports using parameter values
