Welcome Spring! Everyone at MicroKnowledge is happy to see the buds blooming and to hear the birds singing, and we bet you are too.
As we celebrate our 25th year in business in 2011, we are very proud and excited to share with you that MicroKnowledge is being honored by the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce with its 2011 Van Rensselaer Award for Small Business. We’ll officially receive the award in September and are honored to be recognized this way.
We’re offering some new classes in the next few months, so check out information about sessions on Adobe Acrobat X, XML Database and XQuery. Also, we hope you’ll plan to register for our class on Change Management on June 21 and our Customer Appreciation Day on Creating a Social Media Profile on June 23.
In Community Matters, we want to bring your attention to two important local non-profit organizations, Unity House and Circles of Mercy. Be sure to read about the life transforming work that Unity House does in this month’s profile. Also, as chair of the board for Circles of Mercy, I encourage you to consider being a corporate sponsor or serving on the honorary committee for its gala event, “A Taste of Mercy,” to be held on June 16 at Carmella’s (formerly Casey’s) Banquet House in Rensselaer. Read more about this event (PDF).
We’re featuring Branding Centric in Tech Valley’s Brightest and hope you’ll take a minute to learn more about this entrepreneurial company that helps businesses with marketing services, business plans and raising capital.
As always, be sure to look at Try This, It Works for helpful tips in Outlook 2010.
Sincerely,
Kathleen Pingelski
