I am so grateful to the many friends and clients who have offered their congratulations to me on being named a Woman of Excellence by the Capital Region Chamber in the category Excellence in Business. It was such an honor to be selected, and it was made even sweeter by the kind words I heard from so many of you. Celebrating with the MicroKnowledge team and friends and community members at the WOE luncheon recently was the icing on the cake! Thank you for your generous comments and for your support of me and MicroKnowledge.
The team has been active in the community in many other ways over the past several months. We raised close to $4,000 for the American Diabetes Association through the Tour de Cure bike ride through Saratoga Springs. Most of the team rode between 30 and 50 miles that day and we were thrilled to support this terrific event again this year. We also participated in a 5k walk for the American Heart Association, the annual Heart Walk. The event allowed us to support an important community organization and further our goal of keeping our hearts healthy at the same time.
Both MicroKnowledge and ProKnowledge have been working with clients to deliver training at their locations using their training labs or bringing our MobileKnowledge units to their site. We’ve found that delivering customized training sessions using clients’ data files as examples in Excel or Access training sessions is very effective. Remember, we can deliver professional development sessions customized for your organization using scenarios and examples specific to your situation.
In this issue’s Community Matters column, you can read about an important community organization that is helping lift people out of poverty and then giving them a way to help others. Read more about the City Mission of Schenectady.

I hope you enjoy the summer months and spend time with family and friends enjoying the great outdoors. As always, please reach out to me if you have ideas about training programs that would help your organization operate more efficiently and effectively.
